Breeding Shed Requirements 2010
Breeding Shed Hours: 9:00 a.m. & 3:00 p.m. (Additional breeding times will be
scheduled when necessary and confirmed the day prior to the mare’s “booked date”
for the breeding shed.

Breeding Shed Dates: February 15, 2010 thru July 15, 2010

Completed contracts and mare information sheet must be on file in the office before
the mare will be bred.
NO EXCEPTIONS!

All mares entering the breeding shed MUST have a halter or neck strap with a
name plate or identification tag.

Barren mares MUST have a negative uterine culture taken within 45 days prior to
the first cover. Additionally, all mares will be required to have a current negative
culture each time they are bred on or after the third cycle. The culture slip must
accompany the mare to the breeding shed if not already filed in the office.

We prefer that foals stay home. If this is not feasible, you must bring your own
attendant and notify us in advance. Foals will not be left in the van or trailer.

Imported Foaling or Barren Mare  - A COPY OF THE QUARANTINE
RELEASE MUST ACCOMPANY THE MARE ON HER FIRST TRIP TO
THE BREEDING SHED.
A negative uterine culture is required and EVA blood
titer on all imported mares.

We prefer to breed off the trailer, but it is not required. If you choose to leave your
mare with Fanlew Farm there will be a $18 a day rate for a dry mare and $20 a day
for wet mares, payable upon departure.

All mares must be accompanied with a Herpes Vaccination (EHV 1) vet
statement            (may be included on the culture).
